Default Pits in deck of block... HELP

Okay... I haven't driven my car in over a year but I'm about to go home and get her and I'll have some change in my pocket to get her running good... here's the problem...

There are little pits in the deck of the block (on top) that u can see... Some are on the sleeves, others are just on the rest of the deck...
It's not losing compression but some of them look like they should have made a compression loss of even made a "Blown Headgasket" type situation... but ANYHOW... It didn't. my question is... if I throw a shot to the motor (12:1 LS/VTEC Forged bottom end) Would that make more stress on those places and be more likely to cause a leak or compression loss or anything?
I really dont want to deck the block, so if anything I'll tear it apart and buy a GSR block. get different rods and start all over.

Thanks a ton.

Why not? A minor decking won't hurt the block or it's reliability.

Pics would be great but generally they dont hurt anything. The only time they cause problems is when the headstarts to move around and they wear the gasket. If you are at that point you have other problems to worry about.

If your talking about squeezing on 12:1 I would not advise it. Thats just asking for it. Your rods and pistons maybe forged but is your block sleeved? If not I just dont think it could take it.

Nah... No pics. I wish I had some tho. :-/

Anyhow, It does leak out the backside but I cant see if it's valve cover gasket or headgasket or what... plus it LS/VTEC... not the most reliable setup in the world.

Compression is good except #4 had 18 psi leak but I'm pretty sure it's due to a valve the machinist claimed to fix...

Anyhoo They're like... fingernail thickness deep and like maybe 1/2 as long as my smallest fingernail is... most are shaped like bananas... hard to describe. haha. but They're pretty small I am just curious as to if they would make much of a weak spot under high pressures.
