Default Help with my vitara build!

so i'm wanting to do my vitara build with a d16a6 block with custom eagle rods to d15 length. But in doing this i will lower the compression significantly. So to resolve this issue and take the compression to where i would like i was thinking about milling the block to 205mm. D16a6 block stock is 212mm and the d15b2 block is 207mm. Does anyone see a problem with milling 7mm of the top of the d16a6 block which will make it 2mm shorter than the d15b2 block?

what exactly would be the point? why not just use the correct rods for the block? milling over 1/4" off the block cant possibly be a good idea.

the point would be to keep a d15 length rod for strength over a d16 rod (both eagle h beams) and since using a shorter rod and vitara pistons you will have a way low compression so if you mill the block down on the d16 7mm it will bring the compression up to 9.33:1 thats why. If you think about it it will take the d16 block down to 205mm which is only 2mm shorter than the d15 block

You know FJT distributors makes d15/d16 rods specifically for the vitara setup so deck height wouldnt be an issue.

youll never make enough power with a d series to break an H beam rod due to power.
