Default Pics of Cusco MC brace on ITR?

Can anyone help me with the install of a Cusco MC brace? I did a search both on h-t and online. Pics would be nice.

Thanks!

I just got mine in for Christmas and went to install it untill I realized you have to bend the brake line that goes into the MC to go in the other direction. I think BlackR had one on his b4 it got wrecked. Anyone install this b4 and have any tips?

Don't have to bend your brake line if you cut a slot in the MC brace.
I have one installed on my car and after measuring and making the slot it mounts right up. You'll have to mount it upside down though as it's made for RHD cars.

Edit: Imagestation seems to be down, if not I might have a pic of it installed.

I had one on my first itr and bent it when I totalled the car.

I have a 2nd one on my current itr.

They have worked great for me.

I did a write-up on it a long time ago... let me see if I can find the link.

.....hrm, post up pics and we'll see!

Should be the same for eg and dc2... although eg may have a different geometry b/c of the different mc...

If you have measurements, I can compare to mine for you.

It seems to fit, except the place where the bolt it attached to the brace is closer to the firewall for the RHD, which makes it further away on the other side. I guess I just need to make the bolt extend further to work. Hopefully it should work or I'll see if Leo wants to send me the right one whenever he gets back.

I just installed my J's Racing engine dampner, and I dont think I can run both that piece and this MC brace.
Any opinions?

Take the bolt out and remount it like shown EXACTLY as in this pic:

It should work fine then.

As for the Engine Dampener working with this... I don't know.

Engine dampener was too much $ and only dampened one side of the motor, so I never ordered it. Better to go with motor mount inserts: prothane upper and energy suspension lower, imho...

Thanks bro, I'll try that.

I would personally go with a Hasport rear drag mount instead of the blingin engine dampner even though it's not JDM .

Those are sweet, and I could run by dampner still. What does one of those run in price?

It says I dont need to drill any new holes?
