which engine shouls i run
Jump on the B16 band wagon. Its a good motor and fairly inexpensive. If you cant go for it, than I would suggest a good cam, with a built valve train, some sort of programing on your ECU, and run it to about 7600 RPM.
Depending on how much power and how much you wanna spend just think of it like customizing your car for show. its all up to how much thought you put into it and how deep your pockets are.but i would agree with b18c1 but i've been wondering about doing f20b swap. great power rated at 200hp stock
well money is the issue, i'm trying to build a 93 accord for show and a daily driver. the outside of the crx it pretty much done ecept a few things like chips in the paint and little dints i'm going to change the front and back bumper i thought about a sohc vtec head and ecu and a dohc zc jsut cheap hp's for now and i can do internals to it lata tuner bash in coming to panama city beach fl march 12-14 and its like 12 miles from my house, i'm going to enter but i need a new engine. my D16A6 only has 25k on it but the valve stim seals are gone so help me out please
Well personally i would go with a b20 800 for full motor depending on where you get it. Stock hp is rather decent for b20 but the best part about them is freakin torque monster just like h22's. as for the d16a6 that would be a good motor to start out with since you already have it. just get it fixed and build it some.hell for 800 you can custom make a turbo, and we all know a turbo is a good hp booster.

I was thinking that if i had a d16, i would most likely sell it and go for a b16a. Now i'm not too knowledgable in the show scene. Is it strictly on visual? or would they give you more points if went with a typr-r engine vs a d series?
The b16 is pretty much a direct bolt-in. You would'nt have too many issues with it at all. Correct me if i'm wrong but you can get a b16 for anywhere between 1200-2000 easy. The bigger engines (b18, h20/22) requrie a little more work to install and run from 2-5 grand or so.
B16 all the way in my head! GL
