tachometer trouble
hey everyone,
I am having trouble hooking up my tach on my civic dx. I am pretty sure i have the right tach lead but the rpms seem to be showing about a thousand over the actual rpms. When my vtec kicks in the tach shows 4500rpms. Its pretty smooth but just too high. can this be a bad tach?
Thanks guys

</TD></TR></TABLE>uh....if you have a b16a1 and VTEC engages at 4500rpm, thats exactly where it should be engaging.
