How To Swap A Sohc Zc Into A Crx (looking for a guide, pic help)
I was just surprised by my grandparents for christmas and they bought me a new car. Same year (89 Crx Si) because my old one was beat up and they didnt think it was safe (definetely wasnt)
So now I have to swap my sohc zc from my first car into the new one. I started the install of the sohc zc with my dad on the first car and got the engine out but broke my wrist and was in the hosptial for a day and he finished the install. I know its fairly easy but Im not the greatest on the harness and how to take apart the axles/hub.
So I need some sort of walkthrough that I can read for a while to help me out. I have a helms manual as well.
One question that Im sure Ill need help with. Will I be able to drop in the complete tranny and motor attached and jsut drop them in or will they have to go in seperate?
Im going to be using a block n tackle to remove and install the new engine.
Any links or help greatly appreciated,
Im counting on you guys

You can drop the engine and transmission in as a combo...
For the axles... you'll need to take off the 32 mm axle end nut... then take off the radius rod bolts and some other pieces and you can swing the whole hub away from the car... then pull the axles out.

would I be able to grab a 32mm socket at any major store? Highest I have is 20. Or would a monkey wrench do the trick?
Bump cause I might tackle it this weekend and put the body work away for a bit so I can atleast drive around

Damn you broke your wrist doing a swap
If you dont know how to do the swap the easiest way is to cut your motor mount brackets off...Get the engine in the engine bay, line it up and Duct Tape it to your chassis that way you dont have to seperate the tranny from the motor and no one else gets hospitalized...Just remember the saying..."**** it, Just Duct it"

Lol no, I broke it in a one punch fight. Knocked the kids front teeth out thought, so the 2 days of pain was really worth it. Im thinking the only part Im gonna **** up on in the axles really or assembling it and everything
