hey everyone, i was wondering if any of you guys have experience with a d16z6 in a cx before because i just did a 16z6 swap into my cx with act stage 3 racing clutch with lightweight flywheel. how fast do you guys think my car would run with a guess? How fast have u guyz gone stock with this motor and with mods as you guys grew older with the car? also how much have you guys have spent to get it at where its at? thanks

I just traded cars w/ GTlvr82 on this board...he traded me his 93 DX/D16Z6 for my 95 CX/B20VTEC...His fastest run was a 14.7 with a shot clutch. I haven't ran it yet as we just traded this weekend.

 

why would u trade ur b20 v-tec?? wut mod are on the 93dx?

 

i would say somewhere in the 15s right now if you have the si/ex tranny(slower with the cx tranny). it is hard to say because i dont know how good of driver you are or if you have i/h/e or just the mods listed which i am assuming are the only mods right now. dont let people give you **** about running a sohc. turbo that bitch and 13s wont be far away

 

yeah i have the full complete d16z6 swap and i'm also plannin on turbo dat sohc close to summer, i was just curious of what i would run. what do you guyz think would be a good cam gear for a d16z6?? also i am a pretty good driver, i beat a 98 gsr with my brother's crx. He got a 88 dx with a d16a6 swap with dx tranny, intake, obx headers, hiflow cat and straight pipin, aem cam, and same stage 3 xact racing clutch like me. But when mah brother just got da clutch in like me, he ran a 16.1. here's a pic of his crx and my cx

14s??? i don't think i can hit that, mayb if i had a dohc swap but i only have a sohc.
