clutch problem

clutch/flywheel problem
I have a 1993 Honda Civic, I recenetly had a new clutch put in it, they didn't turn the flywheel though, now it's still slipping when i go down the road. could this be because the flywheel wasn't turned?

possibly.did you break it in correctly?what motor and mods?if your motor is making much more power than stock,did you get a clutch that can handle it?

i thought the flywheel can only go on one way. maybe i'm wrong. but ive had flywheels off both d-series and DOHC VTEC motors and they looked like they can only go on one way.

From my understanding they can warp in certain sections or something like that. When you get the Flywheel honed or turned it smooths it out. Correct me if I am wrong.

Turning= resurfacing
Did they adjust the clutch pedal also??
I've put in new clutches without resurfacing-although I do not recommend it, and have never had a problem. As long as the pedal is adjust correctly

It's the stock D15B7 motor, with a computer chip, aftermakert pistons, headers, cam gear, and bigger cam. i broke it in correctly, i didn't even begin to crak on it until over 500 miles

even a stock clutch should hold that setup no problem.if you broke it in correctly it must be an issue with the flywheel.how worn was the old clutch?if it was to the point that it was slipping pretty heavily the surface could be glazed enough that it just won't grab.
sounds like your only option is going to be to take it back apart,turn the flywheel,and hope the PP or disc weren't damaged.

we took it back out and now we found all sorts of tranny oil inside the tranny. i dont know if it leaked in from the axles or maybe input shaft area?? can either of this have done it?

oh!!if oil got on the clutch surfaces,that would definately do it.if it's inside,i'd say it from the input shaft seal.was there any oil in there when you put the new clutch in?
how much fluid did you put in the trannt when you put it back together?

there was a little fluid the first time, but not to much, the second time there was alot. i put only 1 quart in so that it wouldnt be to high. is it difficult to replace that input shaft bearing?

bad idea, if you think its your input seal and only using 1 quart of tranny fluid well then your input shaft bearing is gonna get toasted from not having enough fluid to lube it. Just my opinion
