Help? Strange 'hesitation' when cold
My 2000 ITR has, in the last few months, started behaving oddly when I first start it up.
I start the car up, pull out of my driveway, accelerate, shift into second, and then .... sometimes it will 'hesitate...
Its hard to describe, but basically it will refuse to rev any higher than about 3000rpm until I take my foot off the accelerator and put it back down. From then on it is fine.
This doesn't happen all the time, but about 25% of the time. It only happens when I have just started the car within the last 30 seconds, and doesn't happen for the rest of the drive.
Sorry for the long description... does anyone know what is happening? Help?

I have the same problem but usually happens when i first start the car up or if i cut it off for a minute and restart it. Like if i run into a store.
Plugs are fine, replaced cap and rotor. I'm down to checking the coil and replacing wires.

OK I had the dealership check it out at last service and they didn't find anything.
They did a diagnostic, checked sparkplugs and everything seemed fine.
It happened again today. Engine was warm, but car was freshly started. When the car hesitated I left my foot at the same level on the accelerator and the revs stuttered down to 2200rpm and after a second the car started running smoothly again.
So my new theory is fuel pressure. Perhaps the fuel pump isn't feeding fuel in properly sometimes during the first minute that my car is running?
If anyone has other theories or can back my theory up I'd appreciate it.
