Default Buying an Accord, need some basic info plz

Been wanting to buy a BRAND new car for sometime now, i'm currently driving an Acura 1.6 EL 4dr (canadian car only) but its lacking in power and id rather sink my money into a new car before i try to supe up a 4dr. Anyway My choice is either a 2dr 2003 Accord or a 2003 Acura TSX and i've been leaning towards the Accord cuz its cheaper and just as nice. Anyway on to my questions.

1) I've heared that the v6 only comes in an automatic transmission, is this true or can i get it in a manual?

2) Is there alot of mods available for the accord engine?

3) Does the wieght of the accords hamper down the power of the engine? Like, is the WHP similar to the BHP?

4) what type of swaps can you do with an accord or is the 2003 engine the best you can get?

Again, i've only ever had a 4cyl so a 6cyl is big diff and my knowledge is limited.

1 - if youre looking at a 2003 v6 accord, you can get it in a manual. I think 2003 was the first year they offered a manual v6.

2 - not sure what kind of mods are out there for the new accord. I have a 99 accord v6, and theres some quality mods out there, but they are a little pricey. I assume the 7th gen. would be similar. There are some good accord websites out there too.

3 - I don't know about the weight hampering the power, but the weight probably does hamper the overall performance.

4 - I would stick with the stock engine.

1) the v6 is available in a manny too 6 speed in the US.
2) its a honda
3) No, this thing hauls ***...I drove one and it was very quick I think it pulls high 14's stock (flame suit on)

In my opinion the tsx owns, it has the most standard features and is about the price of a 03 accord v6, for style points and stock HID's 17s etc etc go for the tsx not to mention all the jdm and mugen stuff that is already available (the tsx is basically the accord euro R for the US)...here is a picture of what your new tsx could be:

and this is in no way bashing the accord, really both are awesome cars you can't go wrong with either....but get which one will make you the happiest.
Edit: the tsx is a 4 cylinder but has 200 hp

I just bought a 2004 ex and got the 4 cyl. Moved up from an 89 celebrity with a 6 cyl which was so light it was quicker than most new cars I have rented recently. The 4 cyl was every bit as good.
First drive was from florida to pennsylvania with car loaded with luggage spare wheels and all the junk I carried in the celebrity. *** hung down a bit as shown by high aimed headlights.
Setting in cruise at 79 mph on the flats I hit the first big hill several miles long coming into virginia (I think) and the car just flew up it min speed at 75. I don't think it even shifted out of od. There are a couple other long tall hills that it also eased up as if on the flats. I am satisfied with the 4 and am glad I didn't get the 6.
Yeah but I am old to. Ha
Guess you better drive them all to see how they feel to you.
later, slater
