I heard its an insight (duh) and will be powered by a b-series. Originaly Jeremy allen was going to drive it but Fred Highland took the project over.

I saw Fred tear it up in a stock one. I think it ran 18.xx, better than I thought an Insight would do.

that's the way to go!

I know Jeremy was contemplating building an Insight drag car 2 years ago. Knowing these guys, this is for real!

Good luck to all!

Does anyone happen to know what class the car is being built for? Hot Rod or All motor?

It is a very cool project though.

with a curb weight of 1850 stock, this seems like a very easy car to get to minimum weight and would leave plenty of $ for engine work

imagine a unibody full interiored car in a pro class..........lol

you can pick them up used at dealers for around $10K now, so if you could find a private seller or auction one.....it might get pretty reasonable!

too many thoughts are starting to brew now, so I will stop; too bad they are not stylish.............yet

I said from day 1 when i saw those, i was waiting for thew uproar on them .
I was at Franks and he was saying there was some interest on Carbon fiber bodies for those from some Insight enthusiasts in the midwest i think it was. Im wanting to see thme done up bad, they remind me of a new style CRX man , lightweight and all . Just gettign rid of all the electronic crap and fabbing mounts might be a pain
Good luck to them though.
