Default leak around shock area?

i have a small puddle on my driveway and i think i blew a shock. i looked under the car and the lca is covered in oil or whatever. so i looked farther up to see where the leak was coming from. all around the lower part of the shock, spring and sleeve is wet and i believe this is where the leak is coming from. does anyone have anyother ideas about where it could be coming from? i would take a picture but its such a pain to get out the 2x4's and drive the car up on them and then jack up the car. oh yeah i have stock shocks on nuespeed race springs. i believe i will be upgrading to either koni yellows or kyb agx's.

now sounds like a good time to do it..... i've heard that with stock struts, and aftermarket lowering springs, the life of those struts are cut dramatically. those stock struts are not ment to withstand the spring rates that those nuespeed springs are probably producing.( this is all of what i've heard and observed, dont hold me to it, just the evidence points to it.)

its kind of brown clear i guess. smells like oil or gas. hard to tell on a drive way plus all the dirt that it is going threw down all the metal parts.

well does your car sit any different than you've noticed before? like when it's parked on a level surface.. can u tell iff the ride height appears changed? now that i think about it.. u wont noticee a change really b/c u have aftermarket springs.....
idk i'm fresh out of ideas.. but i hope i've helped out.

well actually the other day i thought that the drivers side looked lower but not so much that it bothered me (this is the side that has the leak). so i am assuming that it is the shock and i will be ordering some koni or kyb adjustables in this next week after i get paid. and the shitty thing is that i wanted to either get some new rims or seats with this damn money
