I've heard that you could sell your steering wheel airbag unit to collision centers and the sort.
- I was if this was true and if it is, how much should I expect from them?
- And what if I was to sale it in the consumer market, how much should I sale it for?
- I heard that it goes for about $200 to collision shops because the owner doesn't want to claim a salvage title or something like that. Thanks in advance.

 

well i can't really answer your questions, but airbags are explosive, and you can not ship them.

then how do people get the jdm srs steering wheels? do they swim them over?

im interested too

i used to live in boston and i rembered a few friends selling them for 500 bucks

but i was only 15 then and didnt know about cars

got my airbag in my room... im scared of that thing... wanna get rid of it

 

on ebay 94-01 integra airbags sell for 100-200 for a complete set with control module, 96-00 civic airbags sell for 200-300, 92-95 civic sell for 50-150.

 

i see a complete set of airbags go for $500. thats only cuz they cost like close to 2 grand from the dealer.

just an idea of how expensive they are: if you get into an accident and your air bags go off, the insurance company will usual consider your car totalled.
