HOw much did you guys pay for VAFC install. Was it sautered or taped? If you did it yourself... what the difficulty? Help me!

 

Do it yourself, it is very simple.

Follow the directions and solder the connections.

 

I dont have the soldering tools.... Grrr

You can get 60 watt soldering irons from Radio Shack for not much money.

 

I dont knwo im scared to solder it.... know i have instructions... but someone have pix to show me how to solder!!

 

now I'm thinking bout selling tho... if anyone interestedd let me know... its brand new... but yah someone get me some instructions so change my mind!

we used to charge $50 to install vafc, soldered. but no tuning, we set it to 0 and factory vtec settings. i sometimes show cust. how to use it, set it. but highly recomend dyno tunning.
sattech.ca, i'm sure someone can give you instruction on how to solder. but if not just use the connector that came with the unit.

i have always used crimp connectors with electrical tape. never had any problems what so ever.

If you're "scared to solder", then pay a shop to do it.

 

WOW 50 bucks for a vafc install isnt to shabby , I always thought it would be much more

kenji makes a plug and play harness that works nice too.....

 

That Kenji harness sounds good. That way if you decide to remove it, you can just unplug it instead of having to de-solder every connection.

 

How much is the harness? and how would u install it... do u still have to solder it?

DIY,,,,,its really easy, Im pretty poor wire guy, but found this install easy...

 

do it yourself you pansy, just get wiresplicers if you are to scared, jsut as good of a job, and you dont have to hack your stock wires.
