Default good set up?

ok i want a quiet exhaust with a good price so this is what i was thinking.

muffler shop bend me a 2.5" mid pipe (cat to the stock axle back) with OUT the resonator

buy new apexi ws muffler than have the shop weld on 2.5 inch axle back

is this a good or bad idea, will it give me similar power upgrades compared to full WS exhaust and will it have the same tone.

It's most likely going to sound tinny without the resonator. Then you are going to go back and spend more money to hopefully make it sound right. It will be cheaper in the long run to purchase a pre-built catback. Search classifieds for a used one. I have seen a few there lately.

Just spend the money, do it right, and buy a N1. The WS restricts tons of air, looks ugly, and who cares if its quiet. If you are spending money on making your car faster, you should care about quality and performance over quietness and air restriction.
