Default A Question

I did compression test on my 92 accord with 175 k miles - 180 PSI on all cylinders. Any idea how many more miles I could get out of the car? It seems to be in good shape but just old.
Thanks.
Jim

Default Re: A Question (James)

Just as important as how high the readings are is how close together they are. Example...180/179/176/182. If they vary by more than I think 10%, it could indicate problems in the motor.

If you keep up with maintenance like oil changes and don't beat the **** out of it, who knows how long it will last. My '90 Civic SI was at 265,000 miles on the original engine/trans/clutch when I sold it last year. Compression #s were in the high 180's.
