A friend of mine has a problem with he's JDM 98 Spec Itr.

and its a strange one actually................


The damned car won't start

It has an ultra ignition system and a chipped ecu.....

we tried to change the ecu but it still won't start ....

we checked the spark at the spark plugs and it has spark...........

what happened ??

this car used to run perfectly before.......

pls help.

 

it doesn't matter what starter u got. it might just have gone bad because i had the same problem but with a gsr starter not a ultra starter or whatever u got but just change it an see what happens

 

I'm sorry but i didn't explain myself well..........


The car is cranking ok......but it still won't start.......

is there gas in the car?

 

I can hear the fuel pump relay

 

distributor failure??

 

could be alot of things, does he unplug anything for security reasons? if so have him check it all

 

As strange as it sounds if you have two o2 sensors running that could be it. I know that the jdm b18c's only require one o2 sensor.

 

Thanks guys for your help.The car had about 4 lt extra oil in it and the plugs and injectors were all covered with oil.Now it's ok everything back to normal excepr a little white smoke from the exhaust
