My D16y8 just crapped out on me, I dont want to dump a **** load of money into the car but I want some more power. I was thinking of a B16 or maybe a B18... what do you recomend and where is a good place to buy the engine.

buddy I believe ur a tad ahead of urself.
I say a good 3000 bones for the engine with transmission if u get it off a crack head. harness, mounts, tools, misc, and time is a must too. which quickly adds to the $3000.

Could do like said above and just get a Z6(around 500or so...your tranny should still be good, right?) and boost it. That is what I would do if you dont wanna drop the $$ on a B-Series.

not ahead of myself, I paid 3400 for the engine I have in now, I did it at the dealership, big mistake. So 3,000 for a engine tranny is a drop in the bucket compared to what I had to do last time
