I want to sell my ITR because I feel this car and all that Honda stuff eats me up.. I have to pay and tp pay
and to pay for the car and I want sooo much... seats, cage, belts, tires, racing and aaaahhhh!!! I want to
get out of this money-eating carussell...
From my knew house to the place I work I have to drive three minutes.... The b18c is still cold when
I switch it off in the morning and in the evening.. I work 10-12 hours every day and I don`t know for what
reason I still have such an expensive bird in the cage... There`s no spare time to drive it....... The risk
too high to race it (still 15k to pay for it...it will take years for me to get it payed enough to let me race with peace of mind). I see no light at the end of this tunnel.
My dream car is the Evo 7 but I don`t want to sell the one money eater for the next...
So my plan is to sell the ITR and buy the next best beater and get bored..... Maybe find other things to do.
But I am afraid to do IT (selling it...).... I`m afraid of missing this car, the thrill and all the joy
that it`s able to bring into my life...someday.
You may wonder why I`m asking this question now...
There is a guy who wants to pay 17k for my car........and he is waiting for me to decide.
Fine shape
JDM b18c (50.000 kilometers on te clock)
Comptech Icebox
Idol TB
JDM 4-1 (worked to 2,5`` coll.)
HJS racecat
Idol exhaust (65mm stainless steel hand made)
Idol aluminium race suspension
Kosei K1 7*15
OMP WRC wheel
Mugen shiftnob
OMP pedals
JDM recaros
Kenji ECU
Idol flywheel (4,8kg)
Two sets of OEM wheels
1 set New Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD2
Is it worth to go through the years of just paying for a ITR without really driving it ???? Or sell
it and safe the money to buy the Evo XXXII in 100 years if things go well ?

Sell it - your debt load is obviously becoming a problem for you.
Get another car and get out of debt!!
Maybe get a go-kart to get your jollies instead??

i would never give up my R. i know i would miss it. the only reason i would give it is for financial burdens. if thats your case, go sell it.
I would say - If you can't enjoy your R and you feel that your economy sucks - sell the R, get rid of the debt and enjoy other aspects of life... there is more to life than the R.. even though it is a amazing machine!
...come back in a year or two or something with a EVO if you can afford it then - and have fun again!
You have experienced a lot of fun and thrills in your previous R. In your shoes I think I would sell.
btw: Too bad I allready got my R, through you, last year
- or I would have bought it, cause I think your #5874 looks stunning and have a lot of the right quality parts!

You ssaid it yourself man. You answered your own question. If it brings thrill into your life. If it makes you smile when you drive it, keep it. If it's a financial burden to modify it, then limit yourself. Self-control. Instead of modding it, make principal payments and when it's paid in full, mod it and race it.

If you sell this car Sven I'm gonna jump onto the next flight to come over and kick you in the head.
Seriously though, if it is a major money strain issue. I can respect you for that and cleaning the slate, but I gotta be honest when I tell you, You will miss the Hell out of it. Mine has been in storage since November and I go through Detox just about once a week just thinking about it.

Man I know exactly what you are feeling. For the last few months I have sounded just like you. I asked my friends if I should sell it and get an eg or something a little cheaper to mod. Everyone I talked to said hell no and I listened. Not because I am easily influenced but because deep down I would rather pay the price and drive a car I love. Also I owe more than I would like to think about. Have you considered refinancing the R to lower your payments a little? Once I get mine down a little bit thats what Im going to do so my wallet doesn't take such a big hit every month.
keeping it you will always have a awesome car
selling it, you will miss one awesome car
speaking from someone who had to go through the keep it or sell it
mental breakdown

If the financial burden comes from simply owning the car (I remember you said insurance and other costs of ownership are very high over there) I would sell it.
If, however, the financial burden comes from wanting to buy stuff for the car, I'd suggest keeping it and simply not buying more modifications.

Well,
I have to pay 700 Euros each month (debt, insurance, fuel).... mods and repairs are additional...
Every day I climb into it for a few minutes of driving and I feel that`s not worth all the money..... Many things have changed in the last six months, life has become difficult and I have to work double.. The price for food, clothes, simply everything is double now since our money turned from German Mark to Euros but income is the same.... I haven´t modified my R for a long time now and I haven`t raced it since July 2003.... it only pisses me off to work and to pay for something I can`t enjoy....... In the years before I was racing my R in my spare time... Now I need my spare time for working to pay the car...

I think the thought runs through all our heads but if you sell it your just going to want another one. The saying goes "you never know what you have until you no longer have it". Its that way man. Keep it.
For such a large financial burden I would probably sell it. You've got an opportunity here to sell AND make money on it. Go for it!
The cost of living is very high over there right now (you know better than I). Can you take the train in?

-as long as they are cheaper..of course
You could always build a hatch, that would be much cheaper than the R.
