OT: NASA Event This Friday, Any Suggestions/Comments?
I am attending a NASA hosted track event this Fri. and Sat. and have never been to one. Can anyone give me an idea of what to expect? How crowded is it usually? What is the driving like (i.e. competitive, or laid back?).?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Last Nasa event I went to at PIR wasn't too crowded at all. The track runs each had about 8 cars per group. There really isn't much of a crowd at all to spectate either. Its a pretty relaxed, friendly atmosphere and alot of the other drivers are very willing to share their experience with you.
If you are racing you need to bring certain things of which I'm sure you probably have a list, but even if you're just watching remember to bring: long sleeve shirt, hat (you'll be in the 100 degree sun for hours), water... lots of it.
you'll see some pretty cool things running on the track...
I dn't think they are charging to watch. I know it's $20 if I want someone else to ride along as a passenger.
superflea, if you are interested in riding with me on a couple of runs just come on over on Sat. I'd be happy to have a passenger. I have a helmet you can borrow too
