Just seeing who out there would like to see an event at Bristol? Been a few years since we've had any import events out here. If an event could happen next season (NSCRA, BOTI, a Shootout, etc) would you attend?

 

I believe that the antendees @ the last nopi event there raised enough hell for the town to not allow another import event to happen. Maybe nscra could do something? They seem to be more racing oriented than lifestyle event. As much as a love ifo, I could see them snubbing their noses @ cliff.
It's worth a shot though!

 

i would DEF attend, ive wanted to race there since i started but NOPI ****ed ALL of that **** up.

 

I would love to get an event there since I just moved here, but the track is NOTHING like it used to be in the old Nopi days. The only events run are streetfights with 0 track prep and a few DER races with minimal prep. I have run my SFWD car twice there now since I moved and the track won't hold anything down low or up top...its pretty bad when your spinning through the traps! I know Brandon Cross over there has been talking about improving on the prep and supposedly been in contact with some other tracks that are known for hooking to get some better conditions.

 

they know how to prep a track, just gotta have an event, and an event coordinator that will make sure they ****in prep the damn thing.

They always said that atlanta dragway was terrible but when IFO went there and i went it hooked awesome. Its the test n tunes that get neglected.

 

Guess I will get to compare it to Atlanta this Fri then...the guys at Atlanta say they prep the track the same everytime its run on.

 

I always wanted to race there, if it takes a few years and I've got a car again I'm down lol

I've heard from different people (though nothing official) is that import events won't be allowed by the city due to the hotels that got torn up after the last NOPI event.

I'm trying to see if there would be enough interest for an event (nothing like NOPI, racing only). If there is then I'll go on from there, whether that is pitching it to one of the sanctioning bodies like NSCRA, BOTI, SICC, etc or doing what I can to help setup a Shootout type event.

There are a couple local guys that don't post much on here anymore that I'm sure would run (if you guys are reading can you post up).

well i dont live far from there and can tell you, friday night is not prepped anything like an event...it might be the beginning of the day, but there is no maintenance to keep up the prep through the evening.

 

Bristol was my favorite place to race. It isn't a fast track, but the place is really nice.

last week i was asking a bms representitive about having a import night. maybe have a couple bracket classes, and then a quick 8. it would also be cool to have a sanctioned body there too.

 

Damn, I wish I still lived there. I really took it for granted when I lived 20min away.
