I'm going to pick up some DSM 450CC injectors today so that I can do the AFC "HACK" since the missing link won't work on my car...but anyways...i have two questions

1. do I need a certain model injector...or as long as they are dsm 450cc
2. do I need the DSM clips or do my original clips fit

btw, this is on a 92 JDM H22A.

I've used blue top injectors from a 93' GS-X that are rated at 450cc. About DSM clips that fit, they accept a pretty common clip. I was too lazy to find some in the junkyard so I just went to the Mitsu dealership and picked up a set of clips for around 25 bux. You can find them much cheaper if you look hard enough, but I was in a hurry.

 

90-94 turbo cars with the MANUAL transmission had 450's, and ALL turbo cars from 95-99 had 450's.

The spray pattern on the 95+ injectors is different, but that does not matter.

 

Use your stock clips for a nice clean look. The dsm injectors have a little tab on them that you will probably have to grind of with a dremel or cut with a razor blade. Once you cut the tab, the stock clips plug right in.

 

to get rid of the tap in the injectors so you can use your stock clips, I used a blow torch to heat up a piece of coat hanger and melted the tab clean off, easy and took a few seconds.

black top 2nd gen

don't remember what the post said about resistor box but don't forget that little guy!

 

450cc injectors from a DSM has to be a blue top and you need white plug injector plugs to make them work.

 

i have never heard about needing white plug injector plugs...can someone please verify this
