Those of you with BSQ intakes, do you use it in the rain?
i have a bsq extension sitting in my room and i'm wondering if i should use it in the rain. It's been pouring lately and i recently took off my aem cai. As i think more i realize the risk of hydrolocking the bsq intake is far more slim since the water has to travel pretty far correct? anyone running one in the rain? any problems?
had not had a problem so far. You can see a few water/grime trails going up, but then end less than halfway up the pipe. Then, there's the entire airbox and filter where it's unlikely it would get past...
Agree with this.
I've used mine in conditions where it has flooded. Those with AEM CAI were hydrolocking left and right, while, my BSQ intake was fine.
Not to mention the small holes in the intake help disperse the water.

My tube has been on my car well over 2 years now w/o any problem. I just occasionlly find a leaf or something in the bottom of the airbox from time to time.
is the intake supposed to come with the holes pre-drilled? i bought mine from bsq and i don't see any holes in mine. Maybe i should drill one or two.

no holes in mine, and again it's been on there 2.5 years no problem. I've even driven thru standing water...
on me but it's still fine.
