best intake for a b18c5?
what do you guys think the best intake is for a b18c5? i was thinking about a ITR AEM CAI for my ek since its 3". but i dont like cold airs because of the possibility of sucking up water (i've already killed one motor cuz of that) any other intakes out there that are just as good as that one that aren't cold airs?

w0rd ! .... but there has been debate about CAI and SRI (short ram Intake) and which one is better... do a search and find that thread, then make up ur own mind about which one u think is better.

dont think so, it is jsut a valve that opens when there is a change in pressure inside the tube due to the wieght of water beign much heavier than air. I think the valve stays closed and jsut acts like a normal wall of the tube when air is going through so there should be no reason why there would be a loss in hp.

Usually the CAI will have a nice gain in the midrange with decent top end. The short ram will usually have less midrange with more top end peak power.

Nah, forget ebay, make your own. Same dimensions as the AEM, good quality, and under 100 bucks (if you have the tools)... here's a link

Should work for any EG, and be the same basic idea for an EK. Also you can turn it into a short ram if you want, so that way if it gets really rainy for a long time just make it short ram, and when it's dry go for CAI, two intakes for under the price of one
