Ok,.so My Girl gets quite a bit back for taxes this coming tax season!(Home owner).
Anyway,..she is just dead set on (i guess me talking about it so much) Buying me the JDM front end(already had it on my old GSR)......or maybe something a little cheaper, like some JDM or SRD Recaro;s (blk red stich).

which should I get/do
1.be nice and let her have some of her earned tax money and settle for Some NICE RECARO's(and keep on loving her) as well as keeping the USDM front......or

2.go ahead and get the Front end and sit on it for a mth or so to save some money to get it painted and installed(can probably do install it myself by now).
I def feel weird on talking the money from her,..but she insists..GO FIGURE.

I'm kinda stuck.I know some of you are not really diggin on the JDM front that much anymore,..but damn,.I LOVE IT!Always have.But still like the USDM as well.
I also know some of you would rather take the money and invest in probably ENGINE mods? Well,..I'm planning on leaving the R slightly stock form MOTOR wise so that why I'm not all over (ATS,TODA B's,MUGEN Twin loop,VAFC etc etc).
I been there and done all that w/ my ol' GZZR.don't want to have to worry about little problems like **** breaking down. This is my Daily driver,.so that why I opt for Exterior mods and or Seats.

Lemme know what you think and which you would choose & why of the 2 listed

Ask her what she would do with the money if you didn't spend it on you. Pay attention and if she ends up getting you the front end anyways, remember what she said and give that back to her some day.

Personally, I'd have a tough time accepting that big a gift from someone but that's just me. Unless, of course, she's stinking rich and this is all chump change to her, otherwise

Yeah,.I hear ya,..I've helped her out alot the past couple of months MONEY WISE w/ her overdrawing her bank account and just pay pretty much for everything,..but shes the type that Loves Giving and not so much recieving?(Great in other ways as well)

So this is her way of kinda re-paying me although I've never asked for any of it or for her to re-pay me!Shes just like that!And also knows I love the R and finally got one!

I'm thinking I outta just settle for some Recaro's and let her pocket some of the money but now I guess I just gotta find some BLACk RECARO's w/ Red stich new or used! Where can I get them,..no one seems has them anymore only the Red ones!

I woudl keep the USDM since you had the JDM front end on your GSR before. Time for a cahnge. Get the seats!


BTW sell me your old seats.

 

I say take the seats, leave here some money, and take her out to a NICE dinner. You will probably get more than you asked for.

maybe i'm just insensitive,but i say take her for what you can get!she fully realizes how much money she's giving you,and if she's comfortable with it,do it.you never know what could happen-say you catch her in bed with your best friend a month from now.....wouldn't you wish you'd gotten than front end instead of being the super-nice guy and turning it down?

I would buy the seats because instead of spending more $ for paint you can sell your stock seats and make back half of what she spent. With that $ take her out to a nice dinner, maybe a small gift, you'll end up witha good nights rest , some nice new seats, and some cash in your pocket.

I agree 100%.

 

I would say get the seats. Reading your post you said if she buys the front end you would still have to save money to get it painted and installed. Even if you installed it your self you will still have to save up money for paint. So in the end you will end up taking all her money and she would be broke again and you will be out money as well. Just my .02
