Today I took my R out for a wash and spin since it's been raining for a while. And I noticed I get many stares from people, and the not kind of stares that are like 'damn you have a cool car', but more like 'WTF are you'. What happened to reign of the R? No looks at the car with respect, let alone give it a second glance like before.

i still notice alot of respect here in vegas, post a pic or two of yours if you have them

 

Who cares? Drive it like you stole it! It's kind of hard to respect a R these days with all the competition.

its still an integra, and its just a car, if you need a car to get respect...

 

maybe its because to many people its still an integra....and maybe cause this season, who washes their car hehehe

Well, I remeber getting thumbs up and stuff, but I don't need a car to get respect that's just sad. I just remember when people were not to quick to rev at me or just look at me like I'm driving dirt. I still get many glances from the ladies, I guess black cars are hot.

All I know is 15 years down the road people will know whats up.

 

People had mixed responses to me driving an R as well. I took the decals off to ward off any attention from anyone who doesn't know that it's an R.

 

Less noticed = less chance of it being stolen

I got several looks when I was in Vegas

 

No to disrespect but, to some people this "car" means alot. I know it's just a piece of metal and all, but some of us look at this car a little more than that I guess. Hell I've never even driven mine, but for all the **** this world puts me through everyday, I know that my Integra will make me feel a thousand times better. You all can say that there's more to life and cars are expendable, true, but I know my life is just that much better owning this car. I'm sorry that your R doesnt make you feel the same way....

The point is, just because you or I give it respect doesn't mean everybody else has too.

 

Very true, I just love my car and hate when people say its just a car.

 

I respect my car thats why I own it but Its just a car you know.... I can live witout it I never said i didnt like it or loved it...

you think that's bad.. has anyone ever read a post regarding on someone spitting on an R because it was an.. now that's just plain disrespect R or no R.. your lucky they just gave you the stare

 

Ya JUN.R is right here in vegas we get ppl hella staring at the R and giving thumb ups saying nice car.I get ppl that walk up to me and say hey dude nice car and i say thanks so ya the R gets mad props here in vegas.And by the way to me the R is not just a car its an attitude and a way of living.

if you want love why dont you buy a camaro or corvett. i think you bought you car for the wrong reason. take your car to a track and drive it if you want some real responces.
