Default ES Oval + Cat + Res = some weird sounds....

I just got a full cat with the es oval and i can hear some weird vibration sounds inside and outside the car. I really dont know what could be rattling outside the car. Does anyone have any thoughts on what it could be?

If i'm accelerating slowly in any gear or slowly down (low rpm's) i just hear this little rattle. It doesn't pop. As far as the resonator, I dont know, I had Lou's Custom Exhaust put that on for me and i never asked.

Sounds like exhaust is viberating off somthing, especially if you just got a new exhaust system. Most likely heatshields (or the brackets for the exhaust support grommets are hitting the underside of car), I know your buddy took some off two months ago, but there could be others and some could've come with the new exhaust piping.

I have the same noise under the same circumstances, and its my heatshield on the cat. Take a look because what you are discribing sounds like a heatshield.

It turns out the noise was something as stupid as a hanger vibrating against a metal piece of the undercarriage. I just put a tiny piece of cardboard inbetween the two to shut it up

Congrats on finding the noise i hope my info. helped. But i don't think that cardboard will solve the problem in the long run. Get an exhaust shop to look at it and bend whatever they need to out of the way so the rattling stops without cardboard in there.
