use of horn for the JDM ITR steering wheel?
i was curious on if anyone has been able to use the horn after installing the non-srs JDM ITR steering wheel. if so how'd you do it? no horn is scary
You need to get the shoehorn from an 89 civic and use it to ground the back of the steering wheel.
Search for my post in the archives it has everything.

Essentially what you have when dealing with this problem is the lack an effective medium for the transfer of electrons from the hot horn wire to into the steering wheel. What Honda (and just about everyone else) has done is use a smooth conductive surface on the back of the steering wheel mounting hub which contacts a stationary and smooth surface known as a shoe horn.
What you have to do is isolate the horn wire from the airbag wiring harness assembly and lengthen/shorten it to the correct length to reach the back of the new steering wheel. Find a relatively thin piece of any highly conductive metal and cut it to be about 3/4 of an inch wide and a few inches long. Warp the thin piece of conductive metal so that the center of the metal will touch the conductive surface on the steering wheel hub when both ends are placed on the surface behind the steering wheel. Solder the horn wire to one end of your new shoe horn and then insulate either end to prevent shorts from occuring. Mount the shoe horn however you feel necessary (screws, super glue, RTV silicone, etc.) so that when installed, the conductive surface on the steering hub will make firm contact with the shoe horn, thus completing the circuit and allowing you to be loud and **** people off.

correct.. at least it won't need the shoehorn.. I don't know about any other install issues with it or not..
this info was strictly for the MOMO non-srs wheels, which includes the JDM Honda model..

This is how it is done. I haven't gotten around to doing it myself....
