I don't know how to post pix, cause I'm an idiot.
But what do you want to know?

 

I was over at sircrxracer's house today and he said that the my cluster in my CRX is not stock. That the auto ones have the P R N D etc in the cluster when mine doesnt. Also he said that mine has a tach and autos dont. I always thought that they did but I dont have a way to confirm this. So we dont know who is right.

I own 2 USDM 1990 A/T CRX's and have seen a number of others.
In my experience they ALL have tachs with the same redline as the Si's. And they ALL have the "PRND4D3" between the tach and speedo.
And the "PRND" lights up when the lights are on.

To add I do believe that even the manual equipped cars have the "PRND"
in the cluster, if you look on an angle, real close. But there is something covering it. I'll check again tomorrow.

 

nope, no prnd on my cluster, 5 speed cluster from a 90 hf, and any other cluster i have seen, never has had it unless it had an auto tranny in it stock.

ALL USDM CRX's have tach's regardless of trans and all A/T CRX's have PRND between tach and speedo. If so equipped.

I know what you are saying. I have a CDM CRX. We all know that Canadian Hondas are not the same as USDM ones. I want to know if this is because I am in Canada or not. Or if it is because my cluster is not the first one in there.

I have some CDM honda CRX brochures, somewhere. If I can find them. I will see if I can tell a difference betwen the USDM's and the CDM's, gauge cluster wise.

not sure about rex's but i know in hatchs and 4drs.. 88-89 the auto's don't have the PRND lights in the middle.. but in 90-91 they did.. i think thats what the extra clip in the middle is for.. cuz i wired a 90 into my 89.. and i didn't use the small middle clip.. and the PRND don't light up.
So i'm guessing in rexs the 88-89 auto's don't have the PRND.. but the 90-91 do..
Also.. all Rexs have tachs?.. even DX and HF?.. unlike the hatchs where DX and std's didn't?

 

my 89 auto crx doesn't have prnd on the cluster. And now doesn't have it on the shifter console since it broke off, anyone have a spare?

88-89 and 90-91 are different.

90-91 Tach clusters have space for "PRND" between the temp and fuel gauges, but it is not written there. Same for non-tach models, but of course, they don't have a tach.

88-89 I need to go look at mine, i have an auto one in my garage.

A buddy of mine has a 91 auto hatch. He didnt have a tach, although he did have the P R N D thing that lit up.. Although we ended up switching his cluster with one of of an 89 crx dx since he wanted a tach, and had no use for the PRND thing since it was already on the floor. It took us a while tho since we had to do all the wiring.
