Important Crx Question need help!!
i know the crx is a unibody frame, and this is why i dont understand this.I know a guy who wants to seel me a crx with front end damage he said a one peice front end will bolt right on is this true or even possible?
a one piece front end means there is not split between the hood fenders bumper and so on... this is a one piece front end....
Well, I've managed to make mine street legal (well not entirely, because I removed the bumper from underneth, but from the exterior, it looks legal).
First off, I got the widebody fiberglass front end (5 inch extention on each side). So the headlights needed to be moved out a few inches, so we had to fabricate customer mounting brackets. Check em out in this picture (yeah, that's just before it got painted):

After that, we just cut holes in the front end for the headlights.

Another pic (yeah, it had gone through a coat of primer, and was just starting to get it's color):

Now keep in mind, that the mounting bracket for the front end is custom as well.
The latest picture I have of it:

Now, what we plan on doing, is having the headlights affixed underneth the front end, and the front end will have a lexan cover for the headlight "holes". To help with aerodynamics, and appearance.
Overall, I wouldn't suggest the fiberglass front end for a street car. That CRX pictured there is a racecar, but it is street legal. There's a distinct difference there.
cheers!

thanks those pics are awesome.is it possible to reconstruct the front end of a crx back to stock?but martini your car is awesome.

If you can do all the work yourself, you will save money, big time. I think all in all, I am into it about $700 with the WW front bumper. I had it quoted at a body shop, and they estimated almost $1400 to repair it.
