Its easy, pretty much self explanitory with common mechanical knowledge... Take the old intake and resonator off and put the new one in its place.. Shouldn't take more than an hour even if you have lots of trouble..

How do you remove the old resonator? Is it the same as on a 5th gen?

Jordan, I found AEM Cold Air Intake installation instructions with pictures. The website is lightningmotorsports.com, the only thing is that it is for 97-00 Preludes. I dont know if it will help, probably not. Call stupid AEM and complain about the shitty instructions, Ive seen numerous posts about crappy AEM intake instructions that lack pictures/photos . Good Luck I probably should post that website for future reference, peace! P.S. You have to go to the tech section and under Honda.

just a little FYI, my friend did an AEM CAI in his 95 lude....they had to cut out the entrance into the firewall because it was too small. any of you guys experience this before or did the shop just cut it for nothing?

Thanks for your responses. Would the 4th and 5th gen prelude have the same procedure for removing the resonators?

Ok, I know how to install the cai. my questions are now about removing the old one... Firstly, there is that old intake I remove. This is a black tube with a rectangular piece on the bottom, right? Then after that where is the actual resonater located? Is it inside the old intake? And after I remove the old itnake and resonartor is there anything else to remove, or should I just go on to install the CAI?

Thanks, Jordan

Redteg: you are talking about the factory airbox. There is another thing which is the resonator, which has a bunch of 'hidden' screws.

no i am not talking about the stock airbox...to be honest i had sum trouble finding those "hidden screws" too. it should be located to the left side of the resonator...kinda hard to see u need to get under the car to get it. keep on lookin budee.
