Default greddy turbo kit... 1000 bucks.. shud i buy???

HELP i have a b18c5 in my 94 ls, would it be a good decision to bolt on this turbo kit onto the engine being higher compression? would a bigger headgasket take care of my worries? of corse id run low boost. just wondering if it would be safe on the stock internals. i can use all the feedback i can get thanx...

Wrong forum I bet. Why not ask that in the Forced Induction Forum https://honda-tech.com/zeroforum?id=16

i just thought some of the itr guys could help me out, if i had a b16 or c1 this compression wouldnt be an issue but i guess forced induction would have been a good place to start...

if you keep the power in low 200's + good fuel managment with no failures and motor is in good condition, you shouldn't have problems boosting. although the kit is selling for good price, you may end up replacing/upgrading that kit shortly. i run t3 .48 a/r with t04b 50trim and i find it great for mid 200's powerband. with good tuning you'll have top end and more torque at earlier rpm.

btw.. for FI related questions, try FI forum.

well, as far as fuel managment, get something like hondata, it will cost even less because your car is obd1. so lets say standalone (hondata s200b), larger injectors (this will depend on hp goal), intank fuel pump (i use walbro 255 high pressure) and find a good tuner in your area or surrounding areas.

and check your motor for obvious things, compression, leakdown, make sure its in top condition before boosting.

btw, if your motor isn't installed yet, i'd trade for gsr block, keep itr oil cooler along with head and you'll lower compression right there. - thats what i would do if i had to piece together stock block+head.
