Difference between OBD2a and OBD2b?

Difference between OBD2a and OBD2b?

Whats the difference? Are the end connectors for the ECU the same?

No difference in ecu programming. Just plug styles AFAIK.

So a 00 Si ECU wouldnt work on like a 00 Type R?

Yes it will.

There shouldn't be any problems, except you'll be running on the wrong fuel and ignition maps.
