I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure OBD0 is just another way of saying PREOBD. (meaning, does not have on board diagnostics)

you are correct... obd0, pre-obd, and non obd are all the same....

you can do a mpfi swap and stay obd0

you need the ecu for the b18 and to convert your wiring, here is a link that says how to do it http://hybrid2.honda-perf.org/tech/4gdxtozc.html this is for a zc swap but its the same thing

Well, they didn't call it "pre-OBD" when it was new...so how is it any better then "obd-0"?

What does Honda call it?

Better yet, what do all the manufacturers call it in their required by US law emissions terminology?

Correct me if I am wrong but on board diagnostics would be a blinking ECU, we do have blinking ECU's we have been OBD since 85.

good point. but did they call it obd-0? no. they (kinda) standerdized it and obd-1 was born.

... i might take back what i said because i noticed today that the hondata site lists obd-0. but i still don't think it's right to call it that.

I hate to be a pratt, but really what difference does it make WHAT, you, me, they, Honda, hondata, or the government CALL it?
As long as WE ALL understand that WE ALL mean the OBD BEFORE OBD1. That's ALL that matters, really.
You say tomato, I say toe-mah-toe..

You just replied to an 8 year old thread!
No only that, but it was already solved so you added nothing new.
Yay you!
