Default Is this right?

i had a accident and so they will send me the check, but i have to sign it and then send it to the dealer where i am making the payments, and the dealer will send the check to the repair shop where i want it to be fix up.
But the dealer doesn't want to give it to me, to fix it myself.

Is this right?

was it your fault or the other person? if it was your fault, you may be SOL. but if its someone elses fault, you should get the check and its up to you to do what you want to do.

In a situation where you are paying on a loan for an automobile usually the lender will not issue the check to you in fear of the car not getting repaired.
