Hey, I am looking into all kinds of engine mounts before i actually buy them, but I was just wondering if any one has had the Place Racing mounts. I am most likely getting Hasport mounts but I found a real good deal on place racing ones, alot cheeper!!! But i don't really want to sacrifice quality for a bit of extra money.....are the place racing mounts good quality??? They have a unlimited lifetime warrenty....

 

I used to sell both the Place and HaSport stuff, and never had any complaints.
One thing that was brought to my attention was how the mounts from
Place and HaSport orient the motor. Can't remember which did which,
but one of the mount kits placed the motor closer to the firewall. I am almost
certain it was the Place because a customer that I had, used them to mount
a b18 motor in his hatch. He claimed to have a problem with working
clearance when he was installing a JRSC. Not sure if this helps you, but
thought i would throw that info in there.

In any case, both kits were/ are good

 

just the opposite , place mounts the motor more towards the front and hasport puts it closer to the firewall . i have the O.G.place racing weld -ins from like 5 yrs ago . when i bought these they were working on the bolt-ins. basically it changed my 91 hb to a 90-93 integra chassis.

 

if you want to go turbo don't get Place racing ( too close to the radiator) get hasport if you want to get a turbo if not get PR.

 

place racing puts the motor where it should be not where you want it to be.

funny, i have hasport mount and my motor is pretty close to the radiator, barely clear the x-member.

 

I had hassport but switched to PR by far a better mount

 

I have place in my car, I've also heard that the put the motor in the wrong spot. My motor is close the the cross brace and the firewall. The only thing i don't like is my CV joints are angled forward. Supposedly the HASport mounts don't do this...

 

are you still needing mounts I have place racing style but they have replaceable urathane inserts( I get them from hasport) I offer a life time guarentee on my mounts.just let me know the cheapest price you have found and I will beat it.I have had these mounts in my crx for over a year with no problems. I also have mounts for the h22 in the 92-95 civic.

 

i have the place racing mounts an they are GREAT, motor doenst jump at all an it is close to the radiator though, im going to have a hell of a time putting my JDM DC header in their. HaSport is awesome too.

 

Hasport has done research and says that the jrsc does fit usin their mounts

 

there is only about a .5-1.0 inch of a difference between the hasport and the place racing. I know because I have set mine and the hasport side by side.It just depends on how much you want to spend. if you want to put a B series motor in you car for cheep let me know. I offer a lifetime guarentee.

 

depends on the swap, if ur doin h22 /eg definatly go with HCP or hasport, HCP put the motor towards fire wall which puts less stress on the axles (reducing risk of breaking or binding axles) and hasport just cost $200 more than hcp...ive heard bad things about PR mounts for this swap...just my $.02

But yeah Ive tried HCP's on my old rex and they weren't bad, but my Place mounts in my hatch are butter...heres some pics for ***** and giggles...




I wasnt really feelin' the blue color so I painted them a nice black. They're rock solid mounts for sure.
