Default alarm upgrade for my Type R

I just purchased my 98 Type R and it came with a Clifford G4 alarm with glass censors, hood, trunk, door sensors. It also has a back up battery and siren. I was just wondering what else some of you guys would reccomend becasue I was thinking of going into my local security store and adding some stuff on. Ive heard some things about proximity sensors but just wanted to know your veiws and opinions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Adam

Personally I would stay away from the proximity sensor unless you have a convertible, they tend to false. The main upgrade I recommend is the glass sensor and backup battery, which you already have. If you have rims I would recommend that you have a motion/tilt sensor added. You can also add multiple sirens and a backup battery siren (similar to the backup battery only the siren will continue to go off if power is cut).

Adding Blackjax would be a good upgrade, also adding a 2ed alarm on top of it, a pager alarm just to be safe, when it's near your house, the pager alarms suck *** for when your at the movies or the mall, don't trust them, the range is shitty. Get a Viper 791VX or a Cliffort RS 3.5 (the Cool CF Remote hella JDM YO)

Anyways a good pager unit on top of a good alarm is a good investment, along with a club and autolocker to slow them down, and a fuel cut off. The more you layer that **** on, the less likly they are going to jack ur ****, u have a fucken R, i couldn't never own one, those get jacked 2 much around here. Get a Boot and Look down the rims with rim locks, lots of stuff u can do.

**** car thives, if u see em, put a 9mm tho there fucken head.

The Omnisensor does all of that in one piece.

The Omnisensor is just a shock sensor. It won't detect motion/tilt or the frequencies of glass breakage. As far as the proximity sensor goes....you'll get mixed recommendations on it. If you like to leave your windows down a lot then I'd say get it but otherwise, it can be kind of a hassle.

I agree with having multiple layers for security but having two alarms is kind of hassle. You'll have arm and disarm with 2 remotes all the time. Some people do this with a factory security system and an aftermarket one. Some OEM systems have dedicated arm and disarm inputs or can be armed and disarmed simply by locking and unlocking the power door locks. Two aftermarket systems just doesn't make sense since there isn't this type of functionality. If you want to be paged when your alarm goes off, just get one of the add-on units from DEI or Autopage.

BTW, which G4 alarm do you have? Before adding more pieces, I would look to see if the installation can be improved first.
