Default OEM ITR Short Block

Are there any members on the board that work for Acura whom I can purchase an ITR short block from at a discounted price?? What does it go for to the general public??

I have decided to keep my Si and just transplant an ITR motor with the money I received from Christmas and money I made from selling my nitrous stuff.

Looking at my receipt from Acura a new ITR shortblock was $2802.89. Luckily it was covered under warranty.

short block is Block, crank, rods, pistons, and bearings.
long block is above + head gasket, head with all the trimmings (valves, cams, valve cover), oil pan, oil pump, timing belt, water pump
new tranny if memory serves, someone just bought one from Len for about 1200 i believe.

OEM block from Acura comes with;

Block, pistons, rods, bearings, oil pan, pickup, water pump. oil pump and driverside mount.

Dealer cost is around $2000, expect to pay $2200-$2500

FYI don't forget you will need different headstuds/bolts and a different header when upgrading from the B16 to B18 block

You will also want to look into Hondata or the like to maximize your upgrade

I have a new ITR head, bare right now. The B16 will be sold to pay for the valvetrain, etc. Plus I will be looking then for Hondata after it is broken in.

I am will be getting my Si tuned at S.S. soon and if the motor still appears to be healthy (compression, leakdown) then I will plan on adding a turbo kit and run it like that for a while. If the motor is "bad", then I will just swap in a new ITR motor.

As BlueR has already stated Len did not quit.

Reading is fundamental.

OK guys, how much can I sell my B16a2 for??

98,000 miles
00 ITR cams
ITR outer v.s. / Portflow inner
Ti retainers
oil changed every 3000 miles, Castrol Syntec

I will probably be getting a new itr longblock, so everything that it doesn't come with will be transferred over to it. Sensors, IM, Exhaust mani, TB, etc. Everything else will go with B16

I'm here. Currently, lol, I sold like 6 ITR blocks over the holidays and all out. I can't believe people were buying blocks and heads for their love ones as for Christmas gifts.

Anyways, I'm restocking here shortly. Inventory had put us on hold. I will have at least 6 blocks in stock. You are welcome to stop by and pick it up from us.

Our demo ITR mini shortblock

If you want more today pics, I can post if liked. One of my tech is installing a new ITR shortblock for a GSR customer as well.
