Default Engine Stand Question

Ok guys, this is my first engine stand and the first i ever used. I know you are supposed to mount the stand to the tranny side but exactly where and with what bolts. I used the tranny bolts and they are too short and i just stripped about 2mm of thread off the block. Should i cut the pegs on the stand to allow the tranny bolts to have more grip.

Tranny bolts are pretty long. I can't imagine them not reaching. But if you say so go to the hardware store and get some longer ones.

Customization, man. Cut the engine stand down some, or buy longer bolts... Personally, I'd suggest the cutting down option. It's free.

buy new bolts... that way you will still have some clearance between the stand and the side of the block..
