Default correcting r/s ratio in a ls/vtec

if done all the searches and was wondering if it is actually worth paying the money to have custom rods and pistons. right now i rev to around 8500-9000 tops. but im going to go with zex street strip cams this time with 81.5mm 12.5-1 pistons and was wondering if it was worth the money to do it

thanks for any info

in charlies car i shifted at 8800 for a while on stock ls rods and arp's. its all in the build.

and when we took apart the motor. (same day it ran 12.02) the rods were in great shape and so was the block and pistons.

i think the r/s ratio of a ls crank is only slightely smally than a b18c block that it doesent really matter.
thats like comparing how much more didplacement the ls block has compared with a b18 c block its like only .03xxxx cc

why 1.5? perfect would be more like 1.75 but what does it matter ls rods can spin up to 9800 that I have seen without any problems.

if you really want to be safe gets some rods, but it's R/S not that big of a deal.
