Default GoodYear Gatorback Timing Belt any good?

hey guys, i just picked up a new timing belt from autozone.... it's a goodyear gatorback for my b18c. is this belt any good? the only reason i ask is because the sales guy said there is a warranty on it against breaking, and now i am paranoid that it might break...... any advice is appreciated.

okay, thanks a lot. i guess the guy just made me nervous.... he said it could snap if it is revved too high.... i figured goodyear is american, and american motors don't really spin past 8000rpms, so maybe 8000 is too high........

anyway, i was just worried. again, thanks.

oh ya... anybody know how much a new water pump w/ gasket from honda is? autozone's was $90, and i know that is too much.....

Water pump from Honda is $100 or so but don't buy one from Autozone! You will have to replace it and chances are it will take out your belt when it does go.

Also I haven't heard anything bad about Goodyears belts other than their regular V-belts slip. Personally I would go with a OEM part that is proven to go 100k miles and was on the car to begin with.

Yeah that's how I did it as well. It's just a little bit more for OEM peice of mind.
