Default no heat + overheater + no pressure in system + headgasket is good.

So heres what happened from the start.

No heat. I changed the thermostate and get it flushed. Heat works awesome for 3 weeks. Then last week it stops. Nothing. No heat at all. So i take it in to get the thermostate changed (lower rad hose is not hot at all, never. They change the thermostate, i pick up the car. Now its overheating and blowing ice cold air, not even remotely warm.

So i took it back to the shop for them to have a look at it..... They bled the system... still overheating. Flushed it.... no plugs, flows great. They ran it with one of the hoses off and it only dribbled out.... they said if the water pump is running properly that it should be shooting out. Is this correct? Does that mean my watter pump is toast? Even though its only been in for a year.

I had the water pump and timing belt changed last January when the zc was dropped in.

They ran a compression test and some other test with a dye in the rad and its all checked out good, so they dont think it can be the headgasket. I have no oil in the coolant and no coolant in the oil.

Water pump or what?

My Moms Altima did the exact same thing. Only she kept driving it, well long story short the water pump went out took the whole cooling system with it.
So my guess is the water pump.

yeah water should be shootting out so if its not its probably your water pump, should only be like $40 or so so its not really a costly investment. but better watch out before your water pump gives out like mine did and you end up busting a timing belt and **** your whole motor over like what happen to me

the car is sitting in the shop..... as soon as it even started overheating i shut it down..... my last engine overheated and i blew the headgasket so i wont make that mistake again

the water pump was replaced 11 months ago.... and there is less then 15,000km's on it.

is that even possible for the water pump to fail within that time frame?

Sounds kinda like a thermostat that was put in backwards, or a faulty thermostat. Take the thermostat out, and take the bottom hose off, and see if it shoots out. I bet it does..

Do yourself a favor and stick to OEM Honda parts. Aftermarket replacement parts for Hondas are some of the worst P.O.S out there. I agree that the new t stat may be sticking closed. Good luck!

Actually, don't take a hose off. Just take the thermostat out and put it all back together. Run the car up to normal temperature, and feel the top and bottom radiator hose as it warms up. They should feel equally hot as it warms up. If this happens, you know the idiot put the thermostat in backwards, or you got a bad thermostat.
