Here is the story! I sold what i thought to be a brand new EX engine harness to a fellow H-T member and it turned out to be a DX harness(This was for a 96 civic) When i found out that it wasnt i originally said i said i would refund him or get the right harness from the my local Honda dealer! He said he couldnt do that because he already modified it! I am i being a dick? I sold him the harness for 175 which i thought was a steal! He said he wanted 75 bucks back and i said i would give him 50! I thought i was genrous for giving him back that much! You guys let me know what you think or what you would do!
ehh...thats a tough decision...he should have returned it back to you for the refund, instead of using it in the first place...as far as how much money is concerned to send back...i really dont know...
what were the numbers on the bag from honda? maybe he is tring to "scam" you...

I dont have anyhting with the numbers on it! I mean I really do feel bad if he really did get the wrong part! but i would have checked it out completly before install as well! I dont know what to do!
Thats pretty tough, it can go both ways. Obviously the harness turned out to be the wrong one (bad on your part) but If I was the buyer I would of checked it out before I did anything and told you it was wrong before hacking it up to work then demand money back (real bad on his part) especially after you were willing to get him the correct harness. I side with you on this one.
BTW cool for your name change. remember our little spat about it awhile back?
no hard feelings - have a good New Year !!!

Hey thanks man! I would have have had no problem giving him the correct harness or even the cash back but he hacked up the harness meaning he accepted it the way it was!
Does this sound fair... post a poll and let both of our fellow peers decide for us?

i'd have to say its a buyer beware situation. I know a few instances of my own when i bought injectors and of course they weren't the flow i thought they were, i didn't try to return them i just sucked it up and did my homework. Just because a dude sells a part doesn't mean he's responsible for the buyer's inability to make sure its the right part. Sounds the the guy was a little too anxious to get his **** together.
That is ridiculous.. you made a mistake that could have been easily fixed if he had not damaged "modified" the harness. If he knew it was the wrong harness then he should have returned it the way he recieved it for a refund or the correct harness. That does not justify calling someone a scammer.
If you sent him the wrong harness knowingly then you are a scammer.... thats the difference.
