brake pads?
I'm changing my brakes this weekend and i was wondering, what are you people's preference on pads, does it really matter? i was just gonna get pads from autozone if it doesn't. My brother gave me his old cross drilled rotors barly used and resurfaced so i figured i might as well do it. I was also leaning towards EBC greenstuff if i was gonna go for alittle more $$.

Depends on what you need.
What are your driving habits? Any autocross or HPDEs? Do you want something with the minimal possible dusting, or would you not mind a little dust?

Race worthy pads:
Hawk HP Plus
EBC reds
Porterfeild
Street pads:
Axxis
EBC green
Hawk HP
AEM
The race pads are for serious repetitive braking conditions. The steet pads work well for alot of people.

It just came to the point where they make a scraping sound all the time so i just need new ones. I heard the EBC's have minimal dust. I dont need racing brake pads just some ones that get the job done. How much do hawk pads go for??
i had EBC's greenstuff, and i hated them...nothing but noise and dust, and didnt brake that well i thought...plus they warped my rotors very easily...

I found EBC Greenstuff to have very minimal dust and noise, comparable to or even less than OEM Honda pads. Sure, they don't brake as well as a more performance oriented pad; stopping power and fade resistance seemed to be about the same as an OEM Honda pad. For someone who doesn't need anything more than a basic everyday street pad, they're just fine.

Your personal braking habits have more to do with "warped" rotors than the brake pads do.

your rotors get warped from stopping and leaving your foot on the brake
squeezing your hot rotors in one spot.
use ur ebrake at a light after heating them up real good
i get mine schorching alot but i just don't press on them after i stop movin
well thats what worked for me.
and if u don't want ne dust go for some ceramics.
