Default Those with 98-01 OEM/Type-R Lip

i just recently bought the lip from a fellow H-T member. He gave me 4 screws which were for the left and right side.
I would like to know if it's safe driving with just those 4 screws or should i get
the 8 other screws that come from under the lip? If so, What size are the nuts/screws sizes? And where can i get em? Also, i was told that i'll need 3M tape, and what else?

I went to the acura and pick up a bunch of the bolts and clip nuts. I dont remember how much they were, but if you tell them you need the bolts and nuts for the OEM lip, they should know what you are looking for. I used 3M tape with the nuts. Hope that helps!

Yeah it might be a little pricey. We all know Acura over charges, but i wanted my lip nice and secure. It adds a bit of secuity too because it takes longer to remove, so i think its worth it.

wouldn't zipties be pretty safe? because if it were to get ripped off the car while driving, it would get ripped off in one piece. my friend did this for his civic and he said it's save his lip a couple times.

i wouldn't say its safe... i mean you could drive it... it wont fall off... but just talking from experience... 4 screws take about 2 minutes to take off... with 2 guys.. and itr lip with only 4 screws is asking for it... i had mine stolen with all the screws on .. let alone 4.. id say glue it down.. lol j/p.. but just because there are these ****** snake thieves around.. use all screws.. it would be harder to steal... kinda sucks to come out and see ur lip taxed...

Invests in a bolt and nuts set up, a pack of washers, double nuts or locking nuts and bigger bolt doesnt cost much at homedepot

because you cant dodge all the ditch and bumps

Use some screws and GOOP it! It has worked wonders for my cousin's side skirts and rear lip for his civic so far (2.75 years).

I have 2 screws on each side where it meets the fender, and I have two bolts on the bottom. That bitch ain't going nowhere.

I think it's okay to just have the side screws because that's how the Comptech lips are suppposed to be installed. However, having just side screws makes it easier to jack.

all i have on mine is the side screws in. the lip fits so snug against the front end i did not think that the other bolts where needed.
