Crower 404 cams clearance with stock pistons
I have a ls head that's been milled .03" (just to clean it up) and was thinking about putting the head with Crower 404 cams on a stock LS block. I was wondering if there is going to be clearance problems. I have a spare block that I'm going to put in Wiseco pistons, but I wanted to experiment with nitrous on the stock block before putting in the built block. Share your experience.
Are the valve reliefs on the stock pistons deep enough to prevent piston-valve contact?

.030 is more than just cleaning up. When you resurface a head its more like .003 to .005. As far as the piston to valve clearance, if the head is milled .030 you should definitly clay test the motor. Having an LS head makes that job even easier.
specie,
I live in palm harbor & have a b18b head f/s :-)
95 b18b Cylinder Head (Stamped 94 like all 95 b18b heads)
$80 for the cylinder head with:
Valvetrain, Cams, Cam Pulleys, Valve Cover, intake manifold, JDM b18b cams out of my old 98 b18b into this head.
