Default Fuel Burning right? FPR working right? Help on this please.

Ok maybe it isn't my clutch or transmission that's messed up. I just played around with the car in first gear, I opened full trottle in first and it felt more like the fuel wasn't being burned properly as If the engine was getting fluided or something like that. The hessitation lasted until 4,000 RPM then the kick comes in. Then I shut the car off, then attempt to restart it, it begins to idle like it's about to shut off. Sound like fuel isn't burning or getting to where ever it need to get too. Can someone help me on this? Is there a part like the fuel Presure regulater going bad or something?
