Gas smell????
I have a 94 Integra and when I let my car idle in the winter to warm up, my interior gets a gas smell to it but when I drive the smell goes away. Any reasons why???
If it's right when you start your car, im pretty sure its because your cat is not warm yet. So it can not burn off the unburnt fuel and all the other crap. You probably don't smell it as much when your moving because it doesn't really have time to enter the car when your not staying in the same place.

No, thats the thing it doesn't happen right away...the car has to warm up for about 5 minutes idling before it will start to smell, then I start to drive and it goes away. I will definately look the injector seals. Thanks

i had a small problem with that...i have a 94 and where the shifter boot meets the console lets a small amount of air in....with the old exhaust i had a small rust spot that opened up near the cat which is right under that boot....it wasnt loud enough to hear but it was enough to let some gas odor in during the warm up cycle...i put my full exhaust on and the problem went away....just a thought ..couldnt hurt to check
