I am off to Acura today to vie for the 4 grand it cost to rebuilt my cylinder head...

It would be good to know, one last time, if there are any other 97 R owners that have had a failure within the distributor housing, in any fashion.

Acura is not helping in anyway? I assume you asked to talk to the district manager/logged a complaint with Acura cusomer service?

Yes, that is what is going on. But holy crap, what a performance. I am just trying to obtain as much info as possible that supports my claim...Not chump change here....

 

My distributor bearing went boom! at the same time my #3 rod bearing spun. Since it's a cheap piece and I was at the track when it happened - I didn't claim it under warranty. Actually I haven't claimed a single thing under warranty come to think of it.

More elaboration regarding your dilemma would be helpful....
