hey guys i came across a deal i can't pass up. i currently own a 95 ls auto (slow as a terd) my uncle who owns a shop has a 97 ls spd missing fenders hood and bumper. he told me he'll trade me straight up if i buy the missing parts. which isn't a problem for me. instead of buying a oem hood i want to get a vis vf hood my question is will it pass inspection?

cliff notes: does a carbon fiber hood pass inspections in the state of Connecticut?

 

cf hoods are 50 state legal....so yes.

in cali you may need the stickers on the original hood for smog inspection, i have ran into that before...

I wouldn't be so sure of that, check your local law books.....

 

i've never heard of somebody being questioned or failed for a cosmetic upgrade other than clear tail lights or some ricer bulbs.

 

just make sure that the cop that pulls you over doesn't ask you if your hood is a radar jammer...
